Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager specializing in Telecommunication to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background with vast permitting experience to bring projects from conception to completion. This role involves planning, executing, and overseeing engineering projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position is 100% remote and eastern time zone hours will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Scope Definition: Develop detailed project plans, including resources, timelines, and budgets. Define project scope and objectives.
- Execution and Coordination: Oversee the coordination and execution of engineering projects. Manage project teams of engineers, coordinators, and vendors.
- Risk Management: Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and suppliers. Ensure clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure projects are completed to the required quality standards and comply with industry safety regulations.
- Profitability Management: Drive project profitability by developing and managing project budgets, tracking costs, and minimizing expenses.
- Progress Reporting: Prepare and present project updates and progress reports to internal and external stakeholders. Maintain detailed project documentation.
- Team Leadership: Foster a collaborative and productive team environment. Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering; civil and electrical are preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Experience as a Project Manager in an engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices specializing in telecom.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience in fieldwork and site surveys is required.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards.
- Candidates must reside the United States of America.
Preferred Skills:
- PMP or similar project management certification.
- Experience with risk management and quality assurance processes.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary will be determined by experience. Position is budgeted for $60,000 - $120,000 yearly.
- The company does not possess a group medical plan, but stipend is given to offset privately secured insurance.
